TELECONFERENCE BRIEFING SESSION

A Web-Based Teleconference for Performance Track Members

 
EPA’s Performance Track Program and Office of Air Quality Planning are hosting a web-based teleconference briefing session for Performance Track Participants on the proposed flexible air permitting rule, flexible air permitting techniques, and smart permitting. The briefing will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time). The Flexible Air Permit Briefing Session Is Designed to:

  • Summarize the content of the proposed flexible air permitting rule;
  • Provide participants with an overview of flexible air permitting techniques;
  • Encourage input on the proposed rule and potential approaches for priority technical assistance associated with the rule implementation that would best address the needs of Performance Track members; and
  • Provide an opportunity for questions and answers related to the proposed flexible air permitting rule. Note: The public comment period on the proposed rule closes on January 14, 2008.

Who Should Attend the Session?

Representatives from Performance Track member facilities and state environmental agency programs who are interested in:

  • Learning more about the proposed flexible air permitting rule and the provision of priority technical assistance for Performance Track facilities.
  • Learning more about flexible air permitting approaches and the types of business needs they are designed to address.

Note: EPA’s Performance Track program and Office of Air Quality Planning conducted a briefing session for Performance Track members in August 2007, at the EPA Region 4 offices in Atlanta, Georgia, prior to the release of the proposed flexible air permitting rule. The December 12th teleconference session will focus primarily on the contents of the proposed flexible air permitting rule that was published in the Federal Register on September 12, 2007. Representatives from Performance Track facilities and state environmental agency programs are invited to attend, including those who attended the August 2007 session.
